Here is all the info you need, in one place!
Really quick, we wanted to welcome you to the 2019/20 HOP Cycling Indoor Training Program. It’s going to be a blast.
Since you are doing these “On-Demand”, you will be able to view all recordings the morning after they are filmed live. Although they are typically done processing by 9 or 9:30 pm Central time.
This first zone setting session (Some call it a threshold test, some call it torture) is going to help us set your baseline zones and get some starting data to track progress. There is a lot to gain just by completing a threshold test so don’t you dare skip it!
You’ll have access to this December 2nd, 2020.
After the initial test (HOP #1), just follow the videos in order after they are completed live. Don’t jump ahead!
We recommend you do these sessions 2x per week with at least a full day between them. That full day between would ideally be pretty easy. Then, do your normal long ride or rides on the weekend and you’ll be ready to rip some legs off before you know it.
To get ready to rock and roll:
1. Make sure you go and join the Private Facebook Group – if you’re on FB that is. It’s a great little community and an easy way to get and stay connected with others in the class throughout the year. There are a lot of experienced riders in this group so it’s a HUGE value to you. Don’t worry, all “important” info will be delivered via email. So save this address in your contacts or mark us “safe.”
2. Link with us on TRAINING PEAKS – If you really want to improve and track your progress, you’ve got to keep all that awesome data somewhere. With all of our coaching clients, we use TrainingPeaks, which is the gold standard in the endurance world.
If you would like to have the HOP Program workout details delivered to you, you’ll need to sign up for a FREE Training Peaks account AND have that tied to our coaching account.
Here’s how: Simply follow this link (skip if your TP account is already connected to us).
If you have an existing TrainingPeaks account and aren’t connected to us, we will approve you.
If you don’t, you can open a free account with the same link and link it to us at the same time. If you already have another coach, it won’t disconnect you from them. If it says it’s going to, go into your TP settings and request to share your account with buildpeakcompete.
Once you have an account and are linked up EMAIL US (email@example.com), we will add you to the HOP program and the workouts will populate on your training calendar. Easy peasy.
By default, they will show up on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but if you have a premium TP account you can move them around as you need to.
3. You will access the recordings by logging into your account at member.buildpeakcompete.com/login, and then navigating to the HOP Cycling Archive. You have to be logged in to access the videos.
